Quickstart

Get from zero to a ranked timeline in six steps. The whole thing takes a few minutes.

1. Open the app​

Head to mber.app and launch the app.

2. Sign in​

There are two ways in, and you pick one on the login screen.

  • Connect a wallet on Base. This path is non-custodial: you prove you own the wallet by signing a message, and MBER never holds your keys or funds. If you do not have a Base wallet yet, set one up through any provider (MetaMask, Rabby, and so on), then connect.
  • Continue with Google, if you would rather not deal with a wallet to get started.

The two are separate accounts, not two doors into the same one. A Google account and a wallet account each have their own watchlist and their own plan, so pick the one you want to keep and sign in with it every time.

3. Track the handles that matter​

When logging in for the first time, you will be asked to pick the accounts you want to track. We have already split up the categories by People, Media, and Organizations. You can manage them at any point from Watchlist in Settings, or browse everything on MBER from the Picker.

There is no cap on how many accounts you track. Your plan sets how much you can use MBER, not how long your watchlist gets. See the pricing page.

4. Let MBER collect​

Once a handle is tracked, MBER will begin running its engines in the background. Keep in mind that if the accounts that you decide to track are not in our database, the first scrape for a new handle can take a bit longer than usual. You watch the progress though the console, or continue browsing around the app while we continue to work.

5. Read your timeline​

Open the Timeline, your main workspace. You will see posts from the accounts you track, ranked by signal. Open the filter bar and you can:

  • use the time range slider by clicking any of the little boxes; 1 box = 1 day,
  • filter by topic or keyword by clicking any word in the rising themes cloud. You can also search for a topic in the search bar above the timeline,
  • pick which accounts and categories the feed draws from,
  • swap the sort between MIX (our algorithm), TIME, and SCORE.

6. Check the Stories​

Open Stories to see the same coverage consolidated: when several accounts post about the same event, those posts become one story instead of a wall of near-identical posts. Full walkthrough on the Stories page.
